BUFFER STATE

*A buffer state is a country lying between two rival or potentially hostile greater powers. It's existance can sometimes be thought to prevent conflict between them.

* It's concept coined in the 17th Century, when the major Europeans powers of England, France, Spain and Portugal started exploring and exploting vast tracts of land on foreign continents, and establishing their own empire.
* Poland and other states between Germany and the Soviet Union have sometimes been described as buffer states, with reference both to when they were non-communist states before World War 2, and to when they were communist states after World War 2.

Electric Cars In India

Electric cars are becoming increasingly popular in India, as the country is trying to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels and cut down on pollution. In recent years, the Indian government has taken several initiatives to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and make them more accessible to consumers. Some of the notable initiatives include the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme, which provides incentives for the purchase of EVs and promotes the development of charging infrastructure. The most popular EVs in India currently include the Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona Electric. While the adoption of EVs in India is still relatively low compared to other countries, the trend is expected to

It involved many of the world's major powers, divided into two opposing alliances: the Allies (led by France, the United Kingdom, and Russia) and the Central Powers (led by Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire). The war began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary by a Serbian nationalist in Sarajevo in June 1914. The incident sparked a diplomatic crisis that led to a declaration of war by Austria-Hungary against Serbia, and soon other countries were drawn into the conflict. The war was fought on several fronts, including Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. New technologies such as machine guns, tanks, and chemical weapons made the fighting more brutal than ever before, resulting in millions of casualties. The United States entered the war on the side of the Allies in 1917, and its participation helped to tip the balance in their favor. In 1918
